4 October 1957 2008, the space era in the history of mankind began with the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite into orbit, the dream of millions has become a reality. This triumph of engineering thought clearly showed, which are the most difficult, the most ambitious and, it would seem, impossible tasks yield to persistence, knowledge and coordinated teamwork.
This historical event opened the way to the stars for mankind, to new scientific discoveries, technological achievements and exploration of the universe. But the launch of the first satellite is not just a victory of technology, it is a victory for the people, who looked beyond the horizon of the possible, solving complex tasks every day.
The launch of the first satellite is also the beginning of our history - the history of the National Center for Control and Testing of Space Means.
Reception of radio signals, transmitted by the satellite, provided the personnel of the 10th scientific and measuring point, which later became part of the 1272nd center of command and measurement complexes, on the basis of which the National Center was formed in the future.
